The Hammonton High School girls track and field team placed second and the boys team placed fourth at the Tri-County Conference meet Thursday.
Both the boys and girls competed against 18 other teams.
Jada Thompson led the girls team winning the 400-meter hurdles in 1 minute 8.09 seconds. Thompson also helped Emma Amilcare, Khristina Washington and Sydirah Walden place third in the 4x100 relay at 52.60.
Amilcare and Walden also led the Blue Devils to victory in the 4x200 meter freshman relay along with Phoebe Wade and Mackenzie Haldeman to finish at 1:54.92.
Alexa Gardner and Victoria Massey led the field events placing second in discus (106-00) and triple jump (31-10), respectively.
On the Hammonton boys side, Dayquan Murray won the 100-meter dash (11.23) and the 200-meter dash (22.54).
Murray also placed third in long jump (20-05.00).
Nate Karl also placed third in the discus (130-02) for the Blue Devils.
Also at the meet, Cumberland Regional’s Sara Loew finished second in the 1,600 at 5:34.61, just 0.11 seconds behind first-place winner Sha’Lynn Clarke from Glassboro.
Also coming in second for the boys side, the Colts’ McKenzie Hatcher took second in the boys triple jump at 43-03.75.
Cumberland placed eighth overall for girls and seventh for boys. Wildwood also competed and placed 19th for both the boys and girls teams.
