Checklist for scenarios in which you have followed the documented procedure but still can't get stories to order correctly:

- Use the link provided above to see the current order of stories on the web. Ask yourself if all of these stories on the carousel slide have the same publish date? Since the CMS first groups stories by Date, check to make sure the story you are trying to move to the top doesn't have a different date than the other stories that are appearing above this one on the carousel.
- Double check the priority on all stories within the current date. Right now this requires opening each story to see the Priority number assigned. We will be adding a priority column to the Asset manager shortly so you will not have to open each story to see this. The priority assigned will show in the Asset manager next to each headline. In the meantime, you will need to open each story and note the priority.
- Remember that all featured stories should always have a 1 while all other stories should always have a 10 in the priority field. Be sure that there are no stories having either a zero OR nothing in the priority field. If you come across a story with nothing in the priority field, give it a priority of 10, unless it is the featured story in which case you would give it a 1.
