Electric trains in Egg Harbor Township

What Is It: Christmas is the ultimate holiday for electric-train fans. And the members of the Atlantic County 4H Model Railroad Club and other train buffs have their Christmas display up and running from now into the new year at the Shore Mall.

What To Expect: These displays can get pretty elaborate - which is just perfect for a Christmas train layout. So take the kids and enjoy the show; you have plenty of chances to do that through the holidays and after.

Event Info: The hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Today, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, every weekend through Jan. 20. The display is in a storefront across the hall from the Jersey Shore Children's Museum at the Shore Mall, 6725 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township. For more details, call 609-703-5975.

Ocean City Christmas parade

What Is It: You know who will be the star of the show at the annual Christas parade down Ocean City's Asbury Avenue. It must be Santa Claus - and it is.

What To Expect: The sponsors promise that Father Christmas will "float" the route, between 6th and 11th streets. Santa will be joined by plenty of music too, including the Ocean City High School Band, the Pitman Hobo Band and the Pennsport String Band. Lots of local dignitaries will join the parade too - including Ocean City High's state-champion field-hockey team.

Event Info: The parade kicks off 7 p.m. at 6th and Asbury and after reaching 11th street, returns to 9th and Asbury for Santa to "greet his friends, pose for photos and distribute treats to children," the organizers promise. For more details, call 609-525-9300.

Stockton PAC hosts A.C. Ballet's 'Nutcracker'

What Is It: "The Nutcracker" is a Christmas tradition for many ballet companies, and the Atlantic City Ballet has long been a happy part of that tradition. The company brings the classic to the Performing Arts Center at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey for three performances tonight and Saturday.

What To Expect: This is a beloved bit of ballet for a reason. All the favorites are part of it, from the Sugar Plum Fairy to the Land of Snow to the Christmas Party - and much more.

Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds at Harrah's

What Is It: Kenneth Edmonds, better known as "Babyface," is also well-known for his smooth handling of ballads. He brings his solo act to Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City for one show tonight.

What To Expect: Edmonds is a multi-talented guy - a writer, producer, singer and lately a judge on NBC's hit show, "The Voice." Look for him to work in some of his own hits tonight, including "When Can I See You" and "It's No Crime."
