Folk tales meet classical music in Vineland

What Is It: Paul Mack Somers of the Bay-Atlantic Symphony is fluent in the language and lore of music. The music journalist and composer has a long-running series of lectures on classical music, including his latest this evening at the Vineland Public Library on "Folk Literature in Composed Music."

What To Expect: Somers says he'll talk about "epics, sagas, fairy tales, legends and folk heroes" - and how all the above have been translated into music. His programs usually include him talking about his topic of the month, playing recordings to show his points and plenty of interaction with the crowd.
