'Freud's Last Session'
at Cape May Stage
So what would happen if Sigmund Freud, who came up with the id, the ego and the superego, spent a night chatting with C.S. Lewis, who wrote "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe?" The play "Freud's Last Session," a sensation in New York, imagines that meeting. The setup has the famous, atheist psychoanalyst and the beloved, believing children's author getting together in 1939, just as England enters the war against Hitler's Nazi Germany. "Their evening of electrifying conversation about God, love, sex, and the meaning of life will spark controversy long after the show is over," the producers promise.
