Angelus Chorus in Cape May

What Is It: After forming in 1964, the Angelus Chorus has performed and raised money for varous community organizations, including Volunteers in Medicine. The Angelus Chorus sings tonight at the United Methodist Church in Cape May.

What To Expect: Seventy-five vocalists are in the chorus. They will sing sacred and secular music. The lesser known holiday songs the group will do include "Hush Missus Teenage Mary," "Christmas Cookies," "We Need a Little Christmas," "Carol of the Bells" and "Mr. Santa," performed by a small group and sung to the same melody as "Mr. Sandman." The Angelus Chorus also performs 7 p.m. Friday at Cape May Convention Hall and 4 p.m. Dec. 8 with the Tapestry String Quartet and guest soloist tenor John Taylor at the Ocean City Tabernacle, 550 Wesley Avenue, Ocean City.

Event Info: The concert starts 7:15 tonight at the Methodist Church, 635 Washington St., Cape May. There will be a free will offering. The Angelus Chorus rehearses 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays during the school year at the Middle Township High School. Their concerts are held during this month, April and May.
