Old film shown in Ocean City
What Is It: An all-time great black comedy, "Arsenic and Old Lace" stars Cary Grant, Peter Lorre and Raymond Massey and was directed by the legendary Frank Capra. It will be shown tonight at the Ocean City Free Public Library.
What To Expect: The 1944 movie features a mild-mannered drama critic Mortimer Brewster, played by Grant, who discovers the shocking truth about his two elderly aunts. The seemingly harmless old ladies poison their gentlemen callers and bury them in the cellar. The picture was filmed on City Island, Bronx, New York City and the Warner Brothers Burbank Studios in California.
Event Info: "Arsenic and Old Lace" will be shown from 6 to 8:30 tonight at the library, 17th and Simpson Avenue. The screening is free and open to the public. For more information, call 609-399-2434, ext. 5238, or visit online oceancitylibrary.org
