Frank and Rose Trifiletti, owners of Rose’s Garden Grill in Northfield, will be serving the Humperdinck, left, and the Foghorn Leghorn turkey sandwiches to celebrate Thanksgiving.

If you can't wait to dig in to some delicious, roasted turkey on Thanksgiving, Rose's Garden Grill is offering some interesting spins on the classic holiday feast every day of the week.

Owners Frank and Rose Trifiletti recently began roasting stuffed turkeys to offer diners three sandwiches and a salad loaded with more than tryptophan.

The standout sandwich is the Foghorn Leghorn ($8.50). Fresh turkey, roasted with 11 herbs and spices, carrots, potatoes, fennel, celery, cilantro and more, is sliced and stacked high on a sunflower cranberry ciabatta roll baked by Formica Bros. Bakery. If that wasn't enough, Trifiletti's homemade stuffing and jalapeno cilantro cranberry sauce complete the experience.

If that's a little too daring, the Humperdinck ($8.50) features roasted turkey, grilled roasted fennel with cilantro and a "hillbilly mustard" made with radishes, mustard seeds, long hots and more on a sourdough ciabatta roll.

Finally, the classic Gobbler ($7.25) features roasted turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes on a roll smothered in gravy.

"When you walk into an Italian deli, the expectation is that you are going to get an Italian sub," Frank Trifiletti said. "We do that well - we're known for our regular and chicken cutlets - but we also try to do things different. That's why we have things like our Coil Snake Chili and The Three A-Meat-Os (beef, chicken and steak burritos). So we thought it would be fun to offer some different takes on turkey for the holiday season."

If the sandwiches haven't hooked you, maybe the Thanksgiving Turkey Salad ($8.99) will, with its roasted turkey, crumbled blue cheese, pine nuts, avocado and cranberry vinaigrette.

And for something completely different, Rose's will offer a holiday-themed drink: the cranberry jalapeno cocktail.

Made with fresh cranberries, jalapenos and honey, Frank Trifiletti calls it "the super natural energy drink."

After Thanksgiving, don't fret when you run out of leftovers. The Trifilettis will roast turkeys and offer the special sandwiches, salad and drink through the Christmas season.

"We like to have fun and be creative," Frank Trifiletti said. "It's our way of constantly offering customers something different … and it gives them something to talk about, too."
