Get ready for Turkey Day with celebs, sports greats

But before the turkey comes out of the oven, nightlifers everywhere have a chance to start the holiday off right with a good party - or maybe a few good parties.
At Hibiscus in Somers Point, the sounds of Boardwalk Baby will get you in the party mood alongside a live radio broadcast from The Sounds of Philadelphia. Hibiscus and The Sounds of Philadelphia are partnering to throw in a dance competition, complete with prizes, for the occasion. It all happens 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. Hibiscus is located at 101 E. If you're looking to shake it with some high-profile faces, look no further than Dusk inside Caesars Atlantic City. Saturday you'll find Matt Lanter, of the hit series "90210," as he hosts a raging party to get the holiday weekend going. It may be the season for thanks and giving, but it's also the season for serious sports. This week, get in on the action with two sports legends. Saturday muscle your way in to the Mountain Sports Bar inside Bally's Atlantic City. Sports TV kicks off at 2 p.m., but by 7 p.m., you'll be in the company of Philadelphia 76ers NBA superstar Darell Dawkins. Dawkins is pumped and ready to sign autographs, take photos and speak with fans, at no charge to you. Stick around for a cold drink and live music by The Exceptions at 10 p.m. Call 609-340-2000.
And don't forget about Monday at the Rumba Lounge in The Quarter at the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City. Rumba is known for its plethora of plasma TVs, which come in handy Monday nights. Philadelphia Eagle and Pittsburgh Steeler Barrett Brooks will meet and greet with guests and fans. Rumba is also offering free appetizers at halftime to truly evoke the Turkey Day spirit. Merighi's Savoy Inn in Vineland is happy to reinstate its Annual Thanksgiving Eve Bash featuring live entertainment by Eleven, Eleven and Fish In a Cup. Come hungry for great tunes and great food, as Merighi's offers a free buffet from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
