'Souvenir' in Cape May
What Is It: "Souvenir" is the regional premiere of Stephen Temperley's Drama Desk award-winning play, presented by Cape May Stage.
What To Expect: Real-life eccentric Florence Foster Jenkins fancied herself a coloratura soprano, but the exact opposite was true. Despite being called majestically awful, her concerts in the 1930s and 1940s, including a legendary appearance at Carnegie Hall, were not only sold out, but were attended by the creme de la creme of Manhattan society. Told affectionately through the eyes of her longtime accompanist Cosme McMoon, the musical comedy is a sweet, inspiring and hilarious portrait of a passionate music lover who believed what matters most is the music you hear in your head.
Show Info: "Souvenir" will be performed at 8 tonight and Saturday night at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse of the Cape May Stage, Bank and Lafayette streets, Cape May. Tickets are $35 for adults, $25 for seniors and $12.50 for students. For more information or tickets, call 609-884-1341 or visit www.capemaystage.com

Enders is the headliner. He and his band will be playing two-thirds of their new CD during their set. They also will play The Early November songs and tunes from Enders' solo project, "I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody's Business." There are five opening acts on the bill, including Person L, The Gay Blades, The Dangerous Summer, School Boy Humor and My Favorite Highway.
Show Info: The show starts 6 p.m. today at Hangar 84, 20 S. Sixth St., Vineland. Tickets $12.25. For more information or tickets, visit www.hangar84.com

It included versions of Chuck Berry's "Nadine" and the late Lowell George of Little Feat's "Willin'."

Shorecast
OK, today's forecast may not sound like the ideal beach day, given that it calls for mostly cloudy skies and highs in the low 70s. But everything is relative (including beach days with your relatives), and compared to yesterday, today sounds like heaven. Weather.com shows a little slice of sun in its picture-style predictions, and it calls for just a 20 percent chance of rain - although others put it closer to 30 percent. But compared to the 100 percent rain we got yesterday - was it close to 100 inches? - even a 30 percent chance sounds good. And if you get to the beach, the ocean's nice - 67 at noon yesterday off Atlantic City. Plus, these storms may be good for something: One local surf forecast says "top beaches should see fun, clean 3- to
4-foot-waves."
