Thanksgiving has provided plenty of laughs for TV viewers - and we're not just talking about the unintentionally bad lip-synching during the Macy's parade. Here are five memorable sitcom Thanksgiving moments - excluding "Friends," whose annual holiday episodes deserve a category of their own.

"The Brady Bunch" (Oct. 16, 1970): Aspiring filmmaker Greg Brady (Barry Williams) makes a home movie for his American history class project with family members dressed as Pilgrims celebrating the first Thanksgiving. Things don't go smoothly when his siblings quarrel over their roles. Catch it at 11 a.m. today on TV Land.

"WKRP in Cincinnati" (Oct. 30, 1978): A promotional stunt by station manager Arthur Carlson (Gordon Jump) - releasing 20 live turkeys from a helicopter - goes awry. As the turkeys hurtle to their deaths, reporter Les Nessman (Richard Sanders) describes the scene, using language borrowed from the Hindenburg disaster ("Oh, the humanity!"). Carlson's final line is a TV classic: "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." See it at hulu.com.

"Cheers" (Nov. 27, 1986): This Thanksgiving episode, in which the regulars celebrated at Carla's house, was the one and only time in the series' long run that Norm's wife, Vera - the subject of many of his rants - actually appeared. Unfortunately, her face was covered by some mashed potatoes that were hurled during a food fight, and we never really got to see her. (We know she was played by George Wendt's real wife, Bernadette Birkette.) See for yourself Friday at 2 a.m. on Hallmark.

"Roseanne" (Nov. 14, 1989): Dan Conner (John Goodman) said it all about preparing his holiday turkey: "Here I am at 5 in the morning, stuffing bread crumbs up a dead bird's butt." Watch it at 9 tonight on TV Land.

"The Simpsons" (Nov. 22, 1990): Bart and Lisa fight during the Thanksgiving meal, with Bart accidentally destroying Lisa's centerpiece, a tribute to great women, including Susan B. Anthony and Georgia O'Keeffe. Bart is sent to his room but escapes to the bad part of Springfield, where he winds up at a homeless shelter.
