At The Shore Today: Dinosaurs invade Stockton

'Dinosaurs!' invade Stockton

If your kids are in that dinosaur stage, Richard Stockton College of New Jersey has the perfect way to get them away from the TV this morning: Take them to the college's Performing Arts Center for Theatreworks USA's puppet-show production of "Dinosaurs!" The performance features Fossil, the dinosaur detective, and it "mixes fun and facts in (a) colossal show inspired by everyone's favorite prehistoric creatures," as the producers put it. The stars also include a Tyrannosaurus and other dynamic dinosaurs, plus the music of Mozart, Mahler and other composers - in a show designed for that tough 4-to-12-year-old crowd. "Dinosaurs!" also offers a crash course in puppet construction.

If You Go: Showtime is 10:30 a.m. today at Stockton's Performing Arts Center, M-Wing, off Jimmie Leeds Road in Galloway Township. Tickets are $12. For more details, call 609-652-9000 or see
