Oscar winner in Ocean City
The Oscars might be over, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good time to enjoy a great film. Tonight, the Ocean City Free Public Library will screen "Capote," the bio-pic that won accolades for its star, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
A profile of the late author Truman Capote, the film takes place during the years he researched the story that was to become the basis for the book "In Cold Blood." Hoffman won the best actor Academy Award for his portrayal of Capote in 2006. Hoffman also won the Golden Globe, the Screen Actors Guild, the Independent Spirit, the National Society of Film Critics and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards, among others, for the role.
If You Go: "Capote" will be shown for free 6:30 tonight by the Ocean City Fine Arts League at the library, 1735 Simpson Ave., Ocean City. For more information, call 609-814-0308 or
