At The Shore Today: Spend Presidents Day on a treasure hunt in Cape May

Go on treasure hunt in Cape May

You can take a Family Treasure Hunt today in Cape May - then again, you can take a Family Treasure Hunt any day in Cape May. The hunt is a creation of the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities, and it involves "exploring Cape May and uncovering its architectural elements from a kid's perspective," as MAC puts it. It's a self-guided tour of the town, complete with a collection of clues and a map - the whole package runs $5 - plus an answer sheet, just in case you're having trouble finding the treasure. But as MAC also explains, "The 'treasure,' of course, is knowledge."

If You Go: The Cape May Family Treasure Hunt package is available for $5 at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth, at Ocean Street, or at MAC's Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., Cape May. For more details, see or call 609-884-5404.
