The Cape May County dance troupe Shore Thing did not make it into the final round of Paula Abdul’s CBS show “Live to Dance.”

It was revealed during the program Wednesday that Shore Thing did not receive enough votes from the TV-watching public to be one of six acts competing for $500,000. During the previous week, they were not voted through by the show’s judges to the finals even though they received praise from all three of them, one of only two acts that performed on Jan. 26 to do so.

Troupe members are all part of the Jersey Cape Dance & Gymnastics Academy competition team. The academy is owned by Stina Smith, one of three coaches and a choreographer of Shore Thing. Smith’s daughter, Kendra Heminway, and sister, Annika Nash, also coach the troupe.
