'Jack and the Beanstalk' today in Cape May

What Is It: You know the classic kids' tale, "Jack and the Beanstalk." Well, so do the people from the Greater Ocean City Theatre Co. and the Stockton Children's Summer Playhouse series, and they're staging the story this morning at the Cape May Convention Hall - and Thursday back in Ocean City.

What To Expect: Jack and his mom have had a rough go of it since Jack's dad disappeared - and that's even before Jack gets a giant mad at him. The producers promise "a musical trip up the beanstalk with Jack," along with a clever "solution to the giant's grumpy attitude."

Event Info: Showtime is 10:30 a.m. today at Cape May Convention Hall, 714 Beach Ave., and 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Moorlyn Family Theater, Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace, Ocean City. All tickets are $10. For more details, call 609-398-1118 or 855-708-9699 or see oceancitytheatrecompany.com
