Chowderfest on LBI
What Is It: The 24th annual Chowderfest Cook Off will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Ninth Street and Taylor Avenue Ball Field, behind Bay Village, Beach Haven.
What To Expect: This family fun festival features live music, activities and unlimited chowder tasting with the opportunity for each ticket holder to vote for their favorite red and white chowder. Participants in last year's chowder cook off included Bistro 14, Black Whale Bar & Fish House and Chicken or the Egg in Beach Haven for their Manhattan chowder and Country Kettle Chowda and Panzone's Pizza & Pasta, also in Beach Haven, for their New England chowder.
