Classical music in Sea Isle City
The Strathmere Ensemble will warm up audiences with the classics during its Polar Bear Concert, featuring the music of
J.S. Bach, today at the United Methodist Church.
Nine musicians comprise the Strathmere Ensemble. The program includes the Bach compositions of "Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor BWV 1067," "Piano Concerto in F minor BWV 1056" and "Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major BWV 1068." Founded in 1996 by double-bassist John T. Kulowitch, the Strathmere Ensemble remains one of the most respected chamber ensembles. Only musicians who have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to musical excellence and artistic integrity are considered for membership.
If You Go: The concert starts 4 p.m. today at the church, 4102 Central Ave., Sea Isle City. Admission is free. Donations are accepted at the door. Enter the parking lot from Central Avenue only. For more information about Strathmere Ensemble, visit strathmerefestivalorchestra.org
