Easter 'Eggstravaganza' in Hammonton
What Is It: Think Easter as art form this afternoon at the Noyes Museum Shop in downtown Hammonton. And this is a family-friendly form of art, naturally, with the kids getting to decorate their own Easter eggs - but not with old-fashioned dye.
What To Expect:This event is about decoupage Easter eggs, which is a fancy way of saying the decoration is made up of paper of many colors, most of them bright. And that's not all that's happening downtown today - adults can shop while the kids have story time, a scavenger hunt and a chance to dance their favorite seasonal step. Sure, the Bunny Hop.
Event Info: The Easter Eggstravaganza runs 1 to 3 p.m. at the Noyes Museum Shop, 5 S. 2nd St., Hammonton. For more details, see noyesmuseum.org or call
Gary Allan hits House of Blues
Who Is He: Gary Allan is sort of an old-school country star. He was hitting the honky-tonk bars in his native southern California by the time he was 12 - although he was there to sing with his dad's band. Since then, he has lived the lifestyle, including two divorces, and sung the true-to-life songs that are part of country's lure.
What To Expect: Allan has made a string of hits since he started his own band in 1996, among them "Man to Man," which made it to No. 1 on the country charts in 2001. This singer likes to take some chances, but he doesn't like to leave his fans hanging, so look for that and other hits - "Tough All Over," "Her Man," "Best I Ever Had" and more.
