Harborfest in Sea Isle

What Is It: This is fall-festival time in South Jersey towns, and Sea Isle City's annual Harborfest tries to offer a little something for everybody. It's in a fun festival setting too - the home of Sea Isle's old-school fishing fleet.

What To Expect: Naturally, there will be plenty of seafood around to try, and if you're really dedicated, you can even get into the clam-eating contest. Also, look for live music, nautical displays, crafts and other vendors, and a blessing of the fleet by local religious leaders.

Event Info: Harborfest runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 42nd Place, just off the bay. For more details, visit seaislechamber.com or call

Tuckerton Decoy & Gunning Show is back

What Is It: This event, now in its 30th year, is so big, it takes two days and two locations to hold it all - and two more parking lots to fit everybody who wants to go. The Decoy & Gunning Show runs all day today and Sunday at Tuckerton Seaport and at Tip Seaman County Park.

What To Expect: The show includes everything from decoy carving to other kinds of carving to boat-building to model boats to duck-and-goose-calling contests to dog demonstrations to music and food to a skeet-shooting contest - from a duck boat, even - plus more contests.

Event Info: Free. The Decoy & Gunning Show runs 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at Tuckerton Seaport and Tip Seaman Park, both on Route 9 in Tuckerton. Parking is also available at Pinelands Regional High School and Freedom Fields Community Park. For more details, see co.ocean.nj.us/ocparks or call 609-971-3085.

'Last Dance' party at Resorts

What Is It: If you've been a fan of Night Fever, the club that replaced Boogie Nights at Resorts Casino Hotel, this is your last chance for romance there. The club hosts a "Last Dance" party tonight, featuring disco diva Maxine Nightingale, because Night Fever is closing to make way for Resorts' new Margaritaville complex.

What To Expect: If you've been around the disco dance floor a few times, you probably remember Nightingale. The thrush, a British lass (who's now almost 60) sang the dance-club smash called "Right Back Where We Started From," in 1976, the golden age of disco. She should be a fitting end for Dance Fever.

Event Info: This party to "close out the '70s and '80s for good" runs 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. in Night Fever at Resorts, 1133 Boardwalk, Atlantic City. No cover charge until 11 p.m.; cover is $15 after 11. For more details, visit resortsac.com or call 609-340-7698.

Coheed and Cambria at House of Blues

Who Are They: Coheed and Cambria bring together rock 'n' roll with science fiction. And these aggressive, progressive rockers are known for their intense approach to playing live shows.

What To Expect: Claudio Sanchez, the front man, likes to works from a sci-fi storyline, "The Armory Wars," which has been the basis of all the band's concept albums. Coheed and Cambria should play some of its old stuff and advance their narrative by getting into the band's new album - "The Aftermath: Ascension."

Event Info: Showtime is 9 p.m. today in House of Blues, at Showboat Casino-Hotel, 800 Boardwalk, Atlantic City. Tickets are $35, $40 and $45. For more details, see houseofblues.com or call 609-236-2583.
