Cape May artist's 'Fable'

at Noyes Museum

"Victor Grasso: Fable," a solo exhibition that runs into early January at the Noyes Museum of Art, gives the Cape May resident's interpretation of some of the classical mythical figures of past civilizations. Grasso, an oil painter, includes characters from Aphrodite to Icarus to Don Quixote and more in these "conceptual representations." The show includes 13 paintings that combine those legends with everyday objects in unexpected ways. The artist transformed a single model, Bela Lotozo, into the iconic subject of each painting.
