Flower show in Cape May
What Is It: Cape May loves to show off its Victorian past. So if there's going to be a flower show in the town, it just makes sense it would be a Victorian-themed flower show.
What To Expect: The show, presented by the Garden Club of Cape May, is called "Victorian Pastimes," and subtitled, "The Way it Was." It's a look into how Victorians did flowers and more - "a peek at floral arrangements depicting Victorian pastimes," the organizers promise. Plus first-graders from the town's school will display pressed-flower creations, and Cape May County Technical High School students will demonstrate their designs on the theme of "Pockets Filled with Posies."
Event Info: The show is free. The will be light refreshments and a vendor marketplace. The show runs noon to 5 p.m. today at Cape May Convention Hall, 714 Beach Drive. For more details, call 609-884-9567.
