Bunches of cereal

In a performance reminiscent of the endlessly unfolding spectrum of Oreo cookies, Post's Honey Bunches of Oats cereal has started sprouting more and more versions.

There are now 12: Honey Bunches of Oats with almonds, with cinnamon bunches, with pecan bunches, real strawberries and with vanilla bunches, Honey Bunches of Oats Raisin Medley, Honey Roasted, Just Bunches!, three kinds of fruit blends - banana blueberry, peach raspberry and new mango coconut - and, finally, new Greek Honey Crunch.

More Triscuits

New from Nabisco are four flavors of Brown Rice Triscuit crackers. Two of them - Savory Red Bean and Roasted Red Pepper - are "baked with red bean"; another - Roasted Sweet Onion - is "baked with sweet potato," and one apparently is not baked with anything interesting: that's Sea Salt & Black Pepper.

Although the biggest words on the boxes are "brown rice," they are not gluten-free. The third ingredient is "whole grain soft white wheat."

Wine of the Week

2010 Hirsch Vineyards 'The Bohan-Dillon' Pinot Noir

Region: Sonoma coast

Price: $28 to $38

Style: Elegant, balanced

What it goes with: Roast chicken, lamb chops, Chinese chicken salad

David Hirsch Pinot Noirs are very good. And very expensive. But the estate also makes "The Bohan-Dillon," which is much more affordable. The 2010 and 2011 are graceful examples of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, with a soft, silky texture, a backbone of acidity coupled with a tangy minerality and slow-ripened fruit that tastes of plums and dark cherries.
