Holiday events at Atlantic City Aquarium
What Is It: If you're looking for something to do with the kids today, check out the Atlantic City Aquarium. The popular spot in Historic Gardner's Basin has a special holiday program planned for Martin Luther King Day.
What To Expect: The aquarium opens 10 a.m., but the fun really gets going an hour later with the live-diver feeding show: Divers take a dip in the 25,000-gallon main tank to hand-feed the stingrays and other large animals, and talk to the kids in the crowd as they do. At noon and 3 p.m., the visitors themselves can feed the smaller rays in a petting tank, and at 2 p.m., look for the "Exotic Animal Show," which includes a bunch of critters that don't live in water.
Event Info: The aquarium is at 800 N. New Hampshire Ave., Atlantic City. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for kids ages 4-12; free for 3 or younger. For discount coupons, see acaquarium.com; for more details, call 609-348-2880.
