Jay and the Americans in Cape May
Who They Are: Jay & The Americans was a popular vocal group from the 1960s that started in Queens, N.Y. The group, which existed from 1960 to 1973 and again from 2006 to the present day, performs tonight at the Cape May Convention Center in Cape May.
What To Expect: The hits of Jay & The Americans include "Come A Little Bit Closer," "Cara Mia," "This Magic Moment," "Walking In The Rain," "Only In America," "When you Dance" and "She Cried." Original group member Sandy Deanne (Yaguda) brought the name for $100,000 in 2006. This concert kicks off the 11th annual Stockton Goes to the Beach Summer Concert Series.
