'Lombardi' a winner at Hammonton's Eagle Theatre

Vince Lombardi was a football legend as coach of the Green Bay Packers, who won history's first Super Bowl -such a legend that the Super Bowl trophy is now called the Lombardi Trophy. But "Lombardi" is now a theater piece, a play that was a hit on Broadway a few seasons ago. The show tells the story of the eminently quotable coach - it was Lombardi who said, "Winning isn't everything. It's the only thing" - through one of his team's great seasons. So if you can't get enough NFL football on the field, check it out through Oct. 12 on stage.

If You Go: Showtimes for "Lombardi" are 3 p.m. today and Oct. 6; and 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Oct. 10, 11 and 12 at the Eagle Theatre, 208 Vine St., Hammonton. Tickets are $25 for general admission or $30 in the front rows. For more details, see TheEagleTheatre.com or call 609-704-5012.
