Grace Potter brings Nocturnals

to Golden Nugget tonight

What Is It: Grace Potter & the Nocturnals were some of the breakout stars when the Dave Matthews Caravan took over Bader Field in 2011. Now Potter brings her Vermont-based band back tonight for one show at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City.

Latest Video

What To Expect: Potter has been compared to Blondie's Deborah Harry and another Grace from an earlier era of rock, the Jefferson Airplane's Grace Slick. But this out-front star - who says she visits Atlantic City sometimes just for the fun of it - can stand on her own reputation with her music, including last year's infectious hit, "Paris (Ooh La La)."

Event Info: Showtime is 9 p.m. in The Grand at the Golden Nugget, Brigantine Boulevard at Huron Avenue, Atlantic City. Tickets are $38.84, $51.34, $63.39 and $69.75. For more details, call 800-777-8477 or see goldennugget.com

Cape May-area aviation museum hosts annual Airfest

What Is It: The popular Airfest and Wings of Freedom Tour are back at the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum through this long weekend. The festival gives visitors a chance to check out legendary World War II aircraft, including a fighter plane and two bombers, and even to pay for flights in the planes.

What To Expect: The highlights of the Wings of Freedom Tour are the P-51 Mustang, a B-17 Flying Fortress and a B-24, all of which are available for exploration - and for high-visibility flights over the beaches of Cape May County. The Airfest, the museum's biggest fundraiser of the year, also includes tours of the NASW's two-dozen-plus historic aviation exhibits.

Event Info: For flight reservations and tour information, call 800-568-8924. The NASW is at Cape May County Airport, 500 Forrestal Rd., Lower Township. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for kids ages 3 to 12. For more details, call 609-886-8787 or see usnasw.org
