Latin rock at Borgata

Who Are They: Los Lobos, above, is a multiple Grammy-Award winning rock band from East Los Angeles, Calif. Their music is influenced by rock and roll, Tex-Mex, country, folk, R&B, blues and traditional Spanish and Mexican music such as cumbia, boleros and nortenos. Los Lonely Boys, a rock power trio from San Angelo, Texas, and Mexican-American, singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo joined Los Lobos for a triple bill tonight at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

What To Expect: Last month, Los Lobos played in Ireland. Their setlist included the songs "Down on the Riverbed," "Alone In A Crowd," "Short Side Of Nothing" and "Will The Wolf Survive?" Los Lonely Boys are sure to play their No. 1 adult contemporary hit "Heaven." They performed in December 2012 in Houston. The other songs they entertained with included "Road To Nowhere," "Man to Beat" and "American Idle." Escovedo, 62, has released 14 CDs since 1992. Escovedo, who plays guitar, has had his music described as alternative rock and alternative country.

What Is It: Bud Noble performs tonight at Bartram Avenue and the Boardwalk in Atlantic City as part of the Bartram Beach Block Concert Series. His performance will be followed by a free screening of "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted."

What To Expect: The storied career of pianist and composer Bud Noble, the nephew of the late composer and bandleader Ray Noble, includes a six-year stint as a featured performer at the famed Copa Lounge at the former Sands Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. He wrote and produced an original musical based on the life of mythical Capt. Ahab. In the movie, which is part of the Movies Under the Stars series, the zoo animals are still fighting to get home to their beloved New York City. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus. The movie was in theaters last year.
