Manly festival in A.C.

What Is It: The first festival of all things deemed manly from archery to BBQ lessons to cage fighting to paintball, the Average Joe Expo, takes place today and Sunday at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

What To Expect:The Average Joe Expo is designed to bring "real guys" together in an environment where anything they may want to try or learn about is at their fingertips, organizer Joe Henderson said. Model, actress and Playmate of the year Sara Underwood, UFC fighter Stephan Bonnar and Boston Celtics basketball legend Sam Jones will appear for meet-and-greet sessions. Special exhibit areas include a beer garden, where attendees can learn more about microbrews and home brewing and a "dream car garage" where everything from an early model hot rod to an adrenaline-pumping, 200-mph super car will be on display.

Radio Disney in Mays Landing

What Is It: The Radio Disney Road Crew 640 AM hosts a family-fun event centered around the upcoming animated film "Monsters University" today at Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing.

What To Expect: Children can register to win a $100 movie gift card to take their friends to a screening of "Monsters University" or any movie of their choice. "Monsters University" is the prequel to 2001's "Monsters, Inc." It looks at the relationship between the furry, blue behemoth-like giant monster James P. Sullivan and short, green cyclops monster Mike Wazowski. Children must be present to win. There will be music, games, prizes and entertainment for the entire family.

Who Is He: R&B singer-songwriter-producer Brian McKnight has sold more than 16 million albums during the course of his 20-year career. McKnight headlines tonight at Harrah's Resort.

What To Expect: McKnight will take to the stage at Harrah's with his smooth, seductive voice and collection of hit songs. One of McKnight's recent setlists included the songs "One Last Cry," "Anytime," "Back At One," "Can You Read My Mind," "The Only One for Me," "Never Felt This Way," "Find Myself in You" and "Shoulda Been Lovin' You."

Gospel fest in Bridgeton

What Is It: The Make a Joyful Noise Gospel Festival will be held today at Bridgeton High School. The festival is sponsored by the Women's Ministry of the New Hope Baptist Church in Cedarville, Lawrence Township, Cumberland County, to raise money to build a new church.

What To Expect: The Mighty Men of Baltimore, Md., will make their southern New Jersey performance debut. Deacon Leslie Pittman (The Harmonica Man) and the Just Us Singers of Philadelphia are on the bill. Pittman organized the group nine years ago, and it features members from Philadelphia, North and South Carolina. The SJ Community Men's Chorus and the New Mt. Zion all Male Chorus also will sing during the festival.
