Who Are They: Fans of the Deftones are attracted to the group's fusion of hard rock, metal and alternative elements. The Deftones headline tonight at the House of Blues Atlantic City at the Showboat Casino-Hotel.

What To Expect: Known for heavy riffs, driving beats and intense vocals, Deftones has always maintained their focus while exploring new terrain. Deftones played earlier this month in Boston. Their setlist included the songs "Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)," "My Own Summer (Shove It)," "Change (In the House of Flies)," "You've Seen the Butcher" and "7 Words."

Home and Garden Show in Atlantic City

What Is It: The 13th annual New Jersey Home & Garden Show returns today through Sunday to the Atlantic City Convention Center.

What To Expect: There is plenty of inspiration, free seminars and celebrity tips for do-it-yourselfers and those who want to change their indoor or outdoor space. The special guest this year is Roger Hazard, television's original home stager on A&E's "Sell This House." The show features the latest trends in home design, including landscapes and outdoor living, pools and spas and home security.

Ospreys talk at the Wetlands Institute

Who Is He: A lifelong fascination with the osprey bird drew Cape May County Technical High School natural sciences teacher Hans Toft is into assisting the state with collecting data and installing nesting platforms. Toft talks about ospreys today at the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor.

What To Expect: Ospreys, sometimes known as the sea hawk, fish eagle or fish hawk, are top-level predators that feed mostly on fish, and a healthy population of top predators means the overall ecosystem is healthy to support the food chain, Toft has said. By the early 1970s, there were only about 50 pairs left in the state. The 2012 Osprey Project in New Jersey estimates the population is about 500 nesting pairs in the state.

What Is It: The second Fridays By The Bay, Cumberland County's only waterfront Friday night option, celebrates The Tides of March tonight at Bayshore Center at Bivalve in Port Norris

What To Expect: Dr. Lawrence Niles is the scheduled speaker. Niles' talk is titled "Mystery in the Mangroves: Red Knots in Delaware Bay and Brazil." Niles is an internationally respected conservation ecologist focusing on shorebirds, who leads Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey's International Shorebird Project and Habitat Conservation Project Initiative. This month's exhibit features The Bay Gals, a group of local artists who have been meeting weekly since 1995. Their focus is usually on the area's natural beauty and varied wildlife.
