Who Are They: One of the greatest hard rock bands of all time, Aerosmith are Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, who are celebrating their 42nd anniversary this year. The bad boys from Boston play tonight at Revel.

What To Expect: Aerosmith, who are fronted by lead singer Steven Tyler and lead guitarist Joe Perry, performed earlier this month in Texas. Their setlist included the songs "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)," "Love in an Elevator," "Livin' on the Edge," "Walk This Way," "Mama Kin," "Last Child" and "Rag Doll." The opening act is fellow 1970s rockers Cheap Trick.

What Is It: Holiday activities and events will take place today throughout Avalon.

What To Expect: Activities include ice skating at 23rd and Dune, storytime with Mrs. Santa Claus from 2 to 3 p.m. at the library, a festival of trees silent auction and a movie for children at 4 p.m. at The Whitebrier. The tree lighting takes place 5:30 p.m. at Veterans Plaza.

Messiah sing-a-long in Cape May

What Is It: The 25th annual Community Messiah Sing-a-long will be held this evening in Cape May.

What To Expect: "Messiah" is an English-language oratorio composed in 1741 by George Frideric Handel, The oratorio is one of the best known and most frequently performed choral works in Western music.

Holiday extravaganza in Sea Isle

What Is It: The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and the city of Sea Isle City host the resort's first holiday extravaganza today and Saturday featuring a variety of seasonable activities for every member of the family.

What To Expect: Families can watch a Christmas parade at 5:30 p.m. today featuring a fleet of decorated fire engines from around the region. Santa Claus arrives at 6 tonight at Excursion Park for a tree lighting ceremony, which will include roasted chestnuts and hot cocoa.
