'Hair' in Hammonton

What Is It: "Hair," the classic rock musical from the 1960s, starts a long run tonight at Hammonton's Eagle Theatre. The play, which spawned a slew of pop hits in its day, takes over the Eagle's stage for the next four weekends.

What To Expect: "Hair" is about peace and love and rock 'n' roll and a different time in American history - when things such as peace and love were more than a punchline. But mostly, this musical is about the music, including such hits as "Aquarius," "Let the Sunshine In," "Easy to be Hard," plus the title track, and more. Oh, and its most famous/infamous bit apparently will stay in the show - the producers warn "this performance contains mature content and some nudity."

Gipsy Kings come to Harrah's

Who Are They: The Gipsy Kings have one of the most distinctive sounds of any popular bands in music today. These veteran music men from France, who got their start in the 1980s as street entertainers, bring their World Music sound to the Showroom at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City tonight for one performance.

What To Expect: This band is defined by the musicians' artistry on acoustic, flamenco-style guitars. But their live show isn't some quiet, classical affair - the Gipsy Kings' style is lively enough that the band has sold 18 million albums around the world, and been on the pop charts in more than a dozen countries at the same time.

Event Info: Showtime is 9 p.m. at Harrah's Resort, 777 Harrah's Blvd., Atlantic City. Tickets $50, $70 and $90. For more details, see harrahsresort.com or call 609-441-5000.

The circus comes to Boardwalk Hall

What Is It: They call it The Greatest Show on Earth. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is back in Atlantic City this weekend, and you'll have plenty of chances to see if it lives up to that old name - and the new name, "Fully Charged," for the current version of the circus.

What To Expect: Everybody knows what's in an old-fashioned circus - high-wire walkers, mid-air acrobats, jugglers, knife-throwers and on and on. But "Fully Charged' also has new blood, including one of the youngest ringmasters in Barnum & Bailey history, David Shipman.

Event Info: Showtimes are 7 p.m. today, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Boardwalk Hall, 2301 Boardwalk, Atlantic City. Tickets are $20, $35 for VIP seats or $85 for VIP floor seats. Admission includes access to a pre-show Power-Up Party one hour before each show. For more details, see boardwalkhall.com or call 609-449-2000.

Spring Rally draws motorcycles to the Wildwoods

What Is It: The 8th annual Wildwood Spring Rally should bring lots of bikes to the island this weekend - and give riders a chance to get back on their bikes after a long, quiet winter.

What To Expect: The Spring Rally is mainly about getting together with other riders and getting out to tour around the Wildwoods and Cape May County, but the headquarters area in the heart of Wildwood should also be crowded Saturday and Sunday with vendors selling everything from motorcycle accessories to motorcycles themselves. As a new addition, "We will be kicking off the rally on Friday night with welcome-back parties at your favorite local bars and restaurants," the sponsors say.

Event Info: The Wildwood Spring Rally is based at Atlantic & Oak aves., in Wildwood. For more details, see WildwoodsNJ.com or wildwoodspringrally.com or call 800-992-9732.
