Music festival in Atlantic City

What Is It: Brass classics, the best of bluegrass and a multi-cultural blend of chamber music will be featured during the second annual Atlantic City Music Festival, which will be held from tonight through Sunday at the Richard Stockton College Dante Hall Theater in Atlantic City.

What To Expect: The Atlantic Brass Band starts playing 7 tonight. Founded in 1984, this British-style brass band presents the music of Barber, Ravel, Puccini and others. The Random Canyon Growlers, above, entertain 7 p.m. Saturday with hard-driving bluegrass and old-time music boosted by laser-beam harmonies. The Bay-Atlantic Symphony performs 4 p.m. Sunday and presents a concert with multi-cultural flavor, including compositions by Antonin Dvorak and African-American composer William Grant Still.

Trolley tour in Cape May

What Is It: An evening guided trolley tour is being offered tonight in Cape May.

What To Expect: Cape May to the Cape May Lighthouse in Cape May Point State Park will be covered by the trolley tour, which also includes narration about the lighthouse and time for a climb up the 199 steps to enjoy the view from the top of the gallery. The tour is sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities.

Musical in Hammonton

What Is It: "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," will be performed tonight through Oct. 20 at the Eagle Theatre, 208 Vine St., Hammonton.

What To Expect: Directed by Eagle Theatre co-artistic director Ted Wioncek III, "Spelling Bee" is the tale of six adolescent overachievers (played by adults) vying for the spelling bee championship of a lifetime. Their quirky personalities as well as the quality of the score have made this production a favorite among theatergoers since its debut performance in 2004. Areas represented among the cast include Will Baez of Vineland and Paul Weagraff of Delaware.

Frankie Valli and Four Seasons

at Borgata

Who Are They: With their intricate vocal harmonies and doo-wop approach, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons became one of the most successful groups of the 1960s. They will perform tonight through Sunday at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

What To Expect: Although many years have passed since Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons were singing on street corners, they've still got the vocal chops to make audiences feel like it's the 1960s all over again. They performed in August in Virginia. Their setlist included such songs as "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You," "Working My Way Back To You," "Oh What A Night," "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Let's Hang On."
