PORTLAND, Maine - A University of Southern Maine professor has written a book on the hit television series "Breaking Bad," the hit AMC drama which wrapped with its series finale Sunday night.

David Pierson's new book on the show, "Breaking Bad: Critical Essays on the Context, Politics, Style and Reception of the Television Series," is scheduled to be published in November. The book is an edited collection of essays from academic scholars that offer diverse perspectives of the series.

"Breaking Bad" revolves around White, a chemistry teacher turned drug lord.
