O.C. Pops plays an "American Tribute"
What Is It: If you didn't get your fill of patriotic music last week on July 4th, the Ocean City Pops can help you out tonight. The orchestra is playing its annual "American Tribute" program, featuring some of the greatest hits of the U.S.A., plus John Philip Sousa's most popular marches - and more.
What To Expect: The Pops, an all-professional orchestra, will be joined tonight by the Play On Philly Orchestra and by baritone Neil Nelson. The "American Tribute" program includes a section honoring the country's war veterans, and the night will be capped off by a Russian piece that's also a big hit at this time of year - Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture."
Event Info: The concert starts 8 p.m. in the Ocean City Music Pier, on the Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace. Tickets are $10 to $15. For tickets or more details, call 609-525-9248 or visit Oceancitypops.com
