Iron Chef Michael Symon will open his new restaurant Angeline at Borgata this spring.


ATLANTIC CITY — Angeline, a new eatery by celebrity chef and ABC’s “The Chew” host Michael Symon, will open May 6 at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, according to a Monday press release from the resort.

Symon, a James Beard Award-winning chef, joins a legion of celebrity chefs with restaurants within the Borgata property, including Bobby Flay (Bobby Flay Steak), Wolfgang Puck (Wolfgang Puck American Grille), Geoffrey Zakarian (The Water Club hotel) and more.

The restaurant, named after Symon’s mother Angel, is inspired by the Italian recipes he grew up with, the release said. The menu is crafted with the help of Sicilian flavors and a “prideful attention to detail,” the release said. Some of the dishes that will be available will be Mom’s Meatballs, Porchetta with Mustard Fruit, Linguini and Clams with Pancetta and Chili Flakes.

“This restaurant is so close to my heart, and takes me back to sitting around the family table as a kid, chowing down on my mom’s lasagna,” said Symon, chef-partner for Angeline, in a statement.

The Borgata’s page for the restaurant shows that Angeline will be open Wednesday through Monday for dinner hours.

The interior of the restaurant was conceptualized with the help of Symon’s wife and business partner, Liz Symon, and Parts and Labor Design, a firm based in New York City.
