'Hamlet' at Stockton
The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre performs "Hamlet," one of the most well-known tragedies penned by the world's greatest playwright, William Shakespeare, tonight in the Stockton Performing Arts Center at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in Pomona.
Arguably one of the best plays ever written, "Hamlet" dramatizes Prince Hamlet's quest for revenge on his uncle Claudius, who murdered Hamlet's father and married Hamlet's mother. The play is a Shakespeare classic, filled with scenes, themes and quotes that still resonate in popular culture. The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre was founded as The Red Heel Theatre in 1989, initially focusing on classic works of English theater.
If You Go: The performance of "Hamlet" starts 7:30 tonight at Stockton, 101 Vera King Farris Drive. Tickets are $32. Children's tickets are $12 when accompanied by an adult. Tickets may be purchase in person at the box office or ordered at stocktonpac.org. The box office is open
