The Sixth Annual Vineland Family Soap Box Derby scheduled for Sunday has been postponed, organizers announced Friday.
The event will be rescheduled for the spring, according to Main Street Vineland, the group organizing the event. The group said it was rescheduling the event to later in the school year in hopes of getting more schools to participate.
“While the derby has been a staple of our fall line-up of events, we want to do what is necessary to keep the event fresh and to make it better each year,” Todd Noon, executive director of the Main Street Vineland group said in a prepared release. “Aiming for the spring will allow us to do just that.”
