Ronnie Spector in Cape May tops our list of fun At The Shore Today

Ronnie Spector in Cape May

What Is It: As leader of the girl group called The Ronettes, Ronnie Spector was one of the first female stars in modern pop music history. The veteran singer brings her act to Cape May Convention Hall tonight as this week's installment in the summer's Stockton Goes to the Beach Concert Series.

What To Expect: Starting in 1963, Spector sang a long string of hits fronting the Ronettes, among them "Walking In the Rain," "Baby I Love You," "I Can Hear Music" and the No. 1 "Be My Baby." She got in and out of the music business over the years, but she's such a respected figure that she went on to record with rockers from Eddie Money to Bruce Springsteen to John Lennon and George Harrison.
