As a 23-year-old successful individual who has now graduated college, become a nurse and is ready to move out on my own, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the woman who granted me the tools to accomplish these goals. I would like to recognize my mother, Kathy Birkenstock, the woman who raised me to be a professional woman. From the day I was born, she has given up her life and sacrificed everything to give my brother and I the opportunity to succeed. I would love to let her know how thankful I am to her for being the best mother I could ask for. Always supporting me, being at every sporting event, lending advice and listening, even when I would call and whine about a bad day I had. She continually put my brother and I first, even going back to school to ensure as a family we would survive. She can now look back and be proud that she succeeded as a mother and as a friend. Mom always said, "From now until forever, it will always be us, and we can always lean on each other until the end." -Christina Cantatore, Galloway Township
