My mother, Marie Logue, of Margate, is the most selfless person I have ever known. She once told me she didn't look at herself in the mirror because she didn't have the time. She made raising seven children look easy. I can recall telling my co-workers when I was 22 that I would like to have at least six kids! I have one. That's all it took to realize how much emotional and physical effort is required to parent. She was a child of the Great Depression and her frequent saying was "Waste not, want not." I have never forgotten that. Of course I also have trouble getting rid of things too. We don't know what we would do without her. She keeps us bonded together. Holidays and family celebrations center around her. This Mother's Day will be a gathering of family to celebrate what my father always said we had, "The greatest mother in the whole world!" - Linda Brown, Egg Harbor Township
