Madelyn is one of six cats previously used as subjects in animal tests at a North Carolina laboratory. She was rescued from the closed-down facility and awaits adoption.

She is a medium-size adult short-hair tiger cat.

To adopt Madelyn, visit the Associated Humane Societies-Forked River Animal Care Center, Humane Way at Lacey Road.

If you would like to visit the shelter, it is open noon to 6 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
