For the 10th anniversary of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, the Roots will serve as the backing band for R&B singer Jill Scott, above, and rock guitarist Slash for a show Monday in the Event Center. Comedian Aziz Ansari also is on the bill.

Depp as Tonto
In the western, "The Lone Ranger," Johnny Depp, above, plays yet another memorable character. This time he's Native American warrior Tonto, who fights bad guys with Armie Hammer, as John Reid, the alter ego of "The Lone Ranger." The movie hits theaters on Wednesday.
The animated sequel "Despicable Me 2" is the only other film opening nationwide this week.
Singer-songwriter and producer Joe, above, releases his 10th studio CD, "Double Back: Evolution of R&B," on Tuesday. It is his first full-length release since 2011's "The Good, the Bad, the Sexy." The CD features 2004 "American Idol" winner Fantasia and rapper Too Short.
'Siberia' on NBC
In the scripted drama, "Siberia," 16 reality-show contestants descend into remote Siberian territory to win a large cash prize. After one contestant dies and another is badly injured, the contestants realize the strange occurrences are not part of the show. "Siberia," with Jonathan Buckley, above, premieres 10 p.m. Monday on WCAU-TV 10 and WMGM-TV 40.
