'Olympus' film

In the thriller "Olympus Has Fallen," disgraced former presidential guard Mike Banning (Gerard Butler, above) finds himself trapped inside the White House in the wake of a terrorist attack. By using his inside knowledge, Banning works with national security to rescue the President (Aaron Eckhart), from his kidnappers. The R-rated movie opening Friday also stars Morgan Freeman.

Friday's other nationwide releases are the dramedy "Admission," starring Tina Fey and the animated family film "The Croods."

Timberlake's time

After an almost seven-year wait, Justin Timberlake is back with a new studio CD, "The 20/20 Experience." The album is currently streaming in its entirety on iTunes, but it is available to purchase in stores Tuesday.

Young 'Psycho'

"Bates Motel" is a contemporary prequel to movie director Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 genre-defining film "Psycho." It promises to give viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates' psyche unravels through his teenage years. The hour-long show stars Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore, above. It premieres 10 p.m. Monday on A&E.
