Country star Gary Allan, above, headlines Friday in the House of Blues Atlantic City at Showboat Casino Hotel. Since 1996, the 45-year-old La Mirada, Calif. native, has had 26 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including four that reached No. 1.

Entertainment in town Saturday includes salsa singer Victor Manuelle in the Showroom at Tropicana Casino and Resort.

Tyler's Temptation

A marriage counselor's life becomes complicated after she enters into an increasingly obsessive relationship behind her husband's back. Tyler Perry wrote and directed "Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor," but he does not star in it. The PG-13 rated drama, opening Friday, features Vanessa Williams, above, Brandy Norwood and Kim Kardashian.

The other nationwide releases are the action movie "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" on Thursday and the sci-fi thriller "The Host" on Friday.

Idol battle

Two runners-up on "American Idol" will release CDs on the same day. David Archuleta finished as the runner-up in 2008. He releases his sixth CD, "No Matter How Far," on Tuesday. Crystal Bowersox, above, was the runner-up in 2010. Her second album, "All That for This," also is issued on Tuesday.

New 'Voice' judges

Goodbye, Christina Aguliera and Cee Lo Green. Hello, Shakira and Usher, above. The new season of "The Voice" kicks off with two new judges and blind auditions starting
