Philadelphia singer-songwriter Amos Lee, 36, has been described as having a light, sweet voice and playing a low-volume, early 1970s version of acoustic soul. Lee headlines Friday in The Music Box at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

Entertainment on Thursday in Atlantic City includes a one-man "Lord of The Rings" trilogy performance in The Concert Venue at Harrah's Resort.

Coens on TV

In 1996, Joel and Ethan Cohen earned a best original screenplay Oscar for the film "Fargo."

The Coen brothers are executive producers of a new TV series based on their movie, also called "Fargo." It premieres 10 p.m. Tuesday on FX.

Reunited rockers

The Afghan Whigs, one of the best bands of the alternative-rock rich 1990s, return with its first new CD in 16 years. "Do to the Beast" will be released Tuesday.

Horror hilarity

The horror comedy sequel, "A Haunted House 2," stars Marlon Wayans, who also wrote the spoof. Wayans plays Malcolm Johnson, who must deal with paranormal events and a demonic ex-girlfriend. The movie opens Friday.

Also opening Friday are "Transcendence" and "Bears." "Heaven Is For Real" opens Wednesday.
