The queen of hip-hop soul, Mary J. Blige, 42, appeared in the Tom Cruise movie "Rock of Ages" last summer. Blige concludes her two-show engagement tonight at Caesars Atlantic City.

Magical thriller

In "Now You See Me," a team of illusionists pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money. The magical thieves are portrayed by Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Jesse Eisenberg, above, and Woody Harrelson.

The other film opening nationwide Friday is the sci-fi movie "After Earth," starring Will Smith and his son, Jaden Smith. In the future, general Cypher Raige and his son, Kitai, crash land on an unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. Director M. Night Shyamalan hopes to make a comeback after four disappointing movies in a row.

Liberace's story

Director Steven Soderbergh helms the HBO movie "Behind the Candelabra," which traces the stormy relationship between Liberace, played by Michael Douglas, above, and his younger lover, Scott Thorson, portrayed by Matt Damon. It premieres 9 tonight.

Fogerty and friends

Former leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty, 67, returns with a new CD on Tuesday, titled "Wrote a Song For Everyone." It features guest appearances by musicians that include Foo Fighters, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band and My Morning Jacket.
