Progressive powerhouse

For the past 46 years, the British band Yes has been carrying the flag for progressive rock music. The group is led by three long-time members: bassist and founding member Chris Squire; guitarist Steve Howe, who has been in the band since 1970; and drummer Alan White, who joined in 1972. Yes plays Friday in the Event Center at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

Blues man

Singer-songwriter-guitarist Robert Cray, a five-time, Grammy Award winner, returns Tuesday with his 17th full-length studio album, titled "In My Soul." Cray revisits classic soul and includes covers of Otis Redding's "Nobody's Fault But My Own" and Bobby Blue Bland's "Deep In My Soul."

'Captain America'

After being frozen in suspended animation since the 1940s, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, struggles to embrace his role in the modern world while battling a threat from a Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier. The film, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," is the only movie opening nationwide Friday.

Envious friends

The pilot for a new 30-minute sitcom, "Friends With Better Lives," premieres 9 p.m. Monday on KYW-TV 3. Six 30-something friends each thinks the other has it better.
