Cape Regional Medical Center is an affiliate of the University of Pennsylvania Health System (Penn Medicine) for Cancer Care and Cardiac Care, accredited by The Joint Commission and an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The 242-bed Medical Center is located in the heart of Cape May County. Our Accredited Chest Pain Center has demonstrated its expertise and commitment to quality patient care by meeting or exceeding a wide set of stringent criteria and completing on-site evaluations by a review team from the Society of Chest Pain Centers. Key areas in which the Chest Pain Center demonstrates expertise are integrating the emergency department with the local emergency medical system; assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients quickly; effectively treating patients with low risk for acute coronary syndrome and no assignable cause for their symptoms; continually seeking to improve processes and procedures; having a functional design that promotes optimal patient care; supporting community outreach programs that educate the public to promptly seek medical care if they display symptoms of a possible heart attack. Cape Regional Medical Center received full Cycle II accreditation status from the Accreditation Review Committee in September, 2009. The Cape Regional Medical Center Foundation was established in 1999 and is dedicated to raising philanthropic support and community involvement in support of Cape Regional Medical Center.
