A pair of Cape-Atlantic League American Conference games will feature 1-1 teams tonight.

Egg Harbor Township (1-1) plays at Hammonton (1-1). Absegami (1-1) travels to Mainland Regional (1-1).

The winners of these games gets a boost toward the postseason. The losers could have to scramble for a playoff spot.

Cape-Atlantic League

American Conference

Egg Harbor Township (1-1) at Hammonton (1-1)

7 p.m. today

Both teams have wins over Oakcrest. EHT running back Dante Moore has rushed for 208 yards and two touchdowns. Hammonton quarterback Jonathan Triboletti threw three touchdown passes - two to wide receiver Alex Padovani - in last week's 41-13 win over Oakcrest. EHT has beaten Hammonton four of the past five seasons.

Absegami (1-1) at Mainland Regional (1-1)

7 p.m. today (97.3 FM)

Absegami rebounded from a 48-6 season-opening loss to St. Joe with a 26-7 victory over Middle Township last Friday. Braves running back David Hood ran for 211 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Mainland comes off a 48-14 loss to Millville. Mainland running back Justin Walsh averages 7.6 yards per carry.

National Conference

Bridgeton (2-0) at Ocean City (0-2)

7 p.m. today (98.7 FM)

Bridgeton averaged 53 points in its two wins. Bulldogs running back Stefon Bowman has rushed for three touchdowns. Wide receiver Nazir Williams has two touchdown catches. Ocean City running back Frank Woolley has carried 59 times for 259 yards.

Buena Regional (2-0) at Lower Cape May Reg. (0-2)

7 p.m. today

Lower is struggling to rebuild its program. Buena comes off a 14-7 win over Ocean City. Buena quarterback Eric Rainear and running back George DiBiase each rushed for more than 100 yards in the victory.

Pleasantville (0-2) at Middle Township (0-2)

7 p.m. today

Pleasantville has dropped 34 straight, but the Greyhounds are much more competitive this season than in past years. Last week, they lost in overtime to Vineland 28-21. The Greyhounds scored two defensive touchdowns in that game as Ronnell Moore and Zayd Smith each returned interceptions for scores. Middle is trying to duplicate last year's success. The Panthers also lost their first two games of 2012 but rallied to finish 6-4 and make the playoffs.

St. Augustine Prep (2-0) at Vineland (1-1)

7 p.m. today

Vineland beat Pleasantville 28-21 in overtime last Friday. Vineland freshman running back Daivon Setmorre rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns. St. Augustine running back Lamont Harris has rushed for 395 yards and seven touchdowns this season.


Cedar Creek (1-1) at Oakcrest (0-2)

7 p.m. today (94.3 FM)

Theses schools have a natural rivalry as both are members of the Greater Egg Harbor School District. Oakcrest running back Terrance Smith has rushed for 209 yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries. Cedar Creek lost to Bridgeton 38-7 last week after opening with a 21-0 win over Ocean City. Ahmir Mitchell has scored three of Cedar Creek's four touchdowns this season. Cedar Creek beat Oakcrest 21-7 last year in the first meeting between the schools.

Shore Conference

Barnegat (2-0) at Monsignor Donovan (1-1)

6:30 p.m. today

This is matchup of teams expected to contend for the Shore Conference B South title. Barnegat quarterback Cinjun Erskine missed last week's 42-34 win over Manchester with a minor back injury. He is expected to return tonight. Bengals running back A.J. Opre has rushed 48 times for 276 yards and six touchdowns this season.

Southern Regional (1-1) at Toms River North (0-2)

7 p.m. today (105.7 FM)

Rams quarterback Logan Sheeehan has thrown four touchdown passes. Southern tight end and top college prospect Mike Gesicki has caught seven passes for 141 yards and a touchdown. Toms River North comes off a 34-22 loss to Lacey Township.

Toms River East (0-2) at Lacey Township (2-0)

1 p.m. Saturday

Lacey is No. 9 in The Press Elite 11. Lions quarterback Tom Kelly has thrown seven touchdown passes, five of them to Christian Tutela. Toms River East has yet to score this season.

Pinelands Regional (1-1) at Lakewood (1-1)

1 p.m. Saturday

Pinelands ended its 23-game losing streak with a 16-13 overtime win over Pt. Pleasant Borough last week. Pinelands quarterback Dan MacPhee has thrown a touchdown pass and run for a score this season.

West Jersey Football League

Bishop Eustace (1-1) at Cumberland Regional (1-1)

7 p.m. today

Cumberland comes off a 33-6 loss to Cherry Hill West. Cumberland would be 2-1 for the first time since 2008 with a win tonight.

Pennsville (1-0) at Wildwood (1-1)

7 p.m. today

Wildwood defeated Riverside 20-16 last Friday as Jose Valentine rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries . Pennsville beat Wildwood 47-28 last season.
